Somehow I am still managing to work on other great jobs despite Lollipop and Grandpa taking over my life. Studio One always have lovely work for me, and this is a poster we worked on together recently to encourage people to go down the stairs to their ace shop. It's important to balance my head out with big, bold shapes in addition to drawing characters and trees for months. I am also at some point going to be working with 3 bands soon, and I can't wait for that.
I am an artist based in Edinburgh, Scotland. I work across a wide variety of disciplines and I have a BA in Printmaking and a Masters Degree in Illustration from Edinburgh College of Art, where I sometimes teach illustration students.
I am currently Artist in Residence at the Sick Kids hospital in Edinburgh where I try to do drawings to make the patients feel better.
I illustrate the LOLLIPOP AND GRANDPA series of books, published by Phoenix Yard, and have also illustrated for Frances Lincoln, Walker Books, Barrington Stoke and Hachette.
I have enjoyed being the in-house designer for both of the amazing Edinburgh shops Paper Tiger and Studio One since 2011.
I am registered with the Scottish Book Trust and Live Literature as a visiting Illustrator, and have a lot of experience in running workshops and events in Primary schools, libraries and book festivals.
I am available for commission so please get in touch if you have any enquiries.
My previous clients include Phoenix Yard, Frances Lincoln, Walker Books, Pearsons, Hachette, Barrington Stoke, Scottish Book Trust, Edinburgh City Council, Dragonfly Film & TV Production, Boswell Book Festival, Edinburgh College of Art, Studio One, Paper Tiger, Morningside Heritage Association.
